Conelrad in Boston area

There were frequent television promos stating the frequencies.

I thought at one point that no regular stations could be on 640 or 
1240 because they were the Conelrad frequencies.  Eventually I 
discovered that this was not so.

Now, someone remind me:  What did Conelrad stand for?
