Tom Ashbrook Calls "On Point"

The last call to this morning's "On Point" on WBUR and some NPR stations
was from a gentleman named "Tom"...and it turned out to be Tom Ashbrook, the
regular host of the show who is currently on medical leave.  He sounded very
hearty and claimed to be walking several miles each day after his heart by-pass
operation. (Gee, I hope after all that he isn't waylaid by a plow!)  He is
confident he will return as scheduled on January 2nd  ready to go as well as ever.
