Exactly. I'd also add a little bit to item number 1:
1.a. Offensive is also whatever the sponsors decide it is.
It wouldn't be too surprising if the firing was a direct result
of an angry phone call from one of RKO's advertisers, would it?
Particularly with the addition of item number 2 above. (If Howie
Carr had been the one saying it, I doubt he'd be fired for it.)
