NECN is reporting that a request for an increase in power for the
Non-Commercial WAVM Radio station run by Maynard High School, has opened up
the door for the FCC to remove their license and re-issue it to a West Coast
Christian broadcaster.
The FCC stated the award was made because the Broadcaster stated that it
would reach "10%" of the area population, which is much in excess of what
they estimated the High School's listenership is.
WAVM recently resolved a co-channel problem with UMASS, WUMB...one wonders
what they think of this "arrangement."
The "Candy Company" never ceases to amaze me.
