Given that "scratching" by club DJ's is still in vogue (they still 
sell 12" vinyl) many should know what it is.  Back in the late 80's 
early 90's, there was apopular Music Video (on MTV, no less) that
had a DJ "scratching" on dual turntables - throughout the entire 
video.
