(now WPNI) had great significance for me:
it was the first directional pattern I learned how to plot!
Yes, I've gotten much more complex since, but it will always
be "my first". (can you recognize a math / engineering nerd?)
Seriously, the whole legacy calls concept means a lot to me,
such as WPTR in Albany area. I do resent that "WMEX" got scarffed
(stolen) by non-Boston area. at least "WNLC" New London
still exists, even as only FM
