I don't think it's a coincidence that WXRV started to dive when Joanne 
Doody (former PD / mid-days) went over to WHOB. She was the driving 
force behind the music diversity since The River washed over The Wave.  
Inasmuch as there are those who believe that a solid format is 
taxi-tested-tough and that a monkey could punch it up and run it, 
unfortunately, there is still the need for good <gasp> people in radio. 
And so it goes.
