WBUR - WNYC Swap?

As the formerly reclusive Dave Faneuf pointed out, 
WNYC Radio's "On the Media" has reappeared on WBUR.
Last night (06/07), as WBUR's "On Point" ended,
host Tom Ashbrook welcomed new listeners to the show
on WNYC in The Apple.  (It's on WNYC-AM 820 only
for now.)  Is there a new spirit of cooperation between
WBUR and the WNYC stations?  Could more fare from 90.9 be
heard in Gotham, while programming from WNYC appears here?
