I know it signed on in 1984. What was the impetus for the Sox, Bruins and Channel 38 forming their own sports net as opposed to joining in with Prism/SportsChannel? Money, presumably, but anything else? Any other info anyone (Kevin is the best bet, I'm guessing) can give me relative to the channel's launch?
