I cannot comment on any other part of your posting, because
I don't listen to 1490 in Fremont, NH.
However, as
->a former citizen of South Lawrence,
->a former employee of (1 of) Lowell's biggest employers (Wang Labs),
->a patron of Gary's Ice Cream in Downtown Lowell,
->a good friend and business associate of two of Lowell's finer Mobile DeeJays,
->a commuter (to/from Billerica MA) who may have to detour through Lowell,
->and a Mobile DeeJay that plays from time-to-time in Lowell,
the information about that bridge being out could be crucial to me.
Given the small number of bridges across the Merrimack River in the Greater Lowell area as well as the significant distance from the outermost bridges in Lowell to the next bridge - up or downstream, anything that restricts traffic could potentially affect me, my work and my business. Originally, authorities requested full closure of the bridge and it took significant intervention to reduce it to just weight restrictions.
So, Lowell bridge info can be important to people as far away as Fremont NH. Your mileage may vary.
