Must-see TV

If you didn't watch "Greater Boston's Beat the Press" on WGBH-TV
channel 2 Friday evening, get up early or set your VCR for the
rerun Sunday morning. It's on WGBX-TV channel 44 at 8:30 am.
The "Beat the Press" segment is a Friday-evening discussion of media,
and it almost NEVER touches on radio. But last night, they did
about ten minutes on the Osterland/WRKO fiasco, including
a face-to-face interview by John Carroll with the seriously
undereducated O3.

The discussion period afterward includes Dan Kennedy of the
Boston Phoenix who raised this issue in his Blog, which in turn
alerted Mike Elder WHO WAS NOT LISTENING! Hmmmm.

If you do tape the show, watch the opening segment about the
Northeastern blackout V-E-R-Y carefully. Video from the
NBC Nightly News shows a graphic of the US, highlighting
the states that were affected. One is NEW HAMPSHIRE! Why?
Because it was VERMONT that suffered scattered outages, and
the people at NBC didn't know VT from NH.
That's why it's important that Howard Dean be nominated
and elected!
(Ker-THUMP! That was Dan Billings suffering a stroke.)
Then major media will be able to locate Vermont.
