One of my theories about psychics is the concept of mass hysteria, where if
you believe it enough, it "must" be true. I remember reading an article a
while ago about the "unmasking" of some popular psychics, using hidden radio
transmitters, etc.  And some are very good observers, noticing the dried
spit on the shoulder of the woman may indicate a colicy baby for example.

Favorite psychic joke:  I called a psychic hotline the other day and the
woman who answered asked my name.  I told her, "don't you know?"
