Re: Double letters in Boston-market calls



When 98.9/Spencer (then Webster, MA) first signed on in the mid 90's, 
they used the WXXW calls for their talk/oldies format.  Their moniker 
was "98-nine, Double X."  That station is currently Oldies WORC-FM.
