New FCC ownership rules

I was just watching a tape of last week's Bill Moyers show which had a story
on the new FCC Ownership rules. In the story, they said that the FCC can't
produce a list of all the radio and TV stations licensed in this country.
Is that true?

Another thing that came to mind in the story is the actions of Maine Senator
Olympia Snowe. She is one of the sponsors of a bill to delay any new
ownership rules. The Moyers story focused on how they believe that
broadcasting industry controls the FCC. That's probably true but the Moyers
stpry featured a quote from Snowe but never suggested that her position
might be influenced by the fact that the owner of 3 of the 7 daily
newspapers in her state is a vocal opponent of the new rules.
