They are also likely to pick up some or all of the Charter systems in
the area as well, as part of the unwinding of a partnership between
the old AT&T Broadband and Vulcan Ventures.  AT&T has a put option to
sell their stake in the partnership to Paul Allen (personally) for
$750 million -- much, much more than it's currently worth.  Talk in
the financial press is that Comcast would be willing to settle in-kind
for cable systems which would expand their reach in a market they
already dominate.
