I was joking about Tory, of course, as she did news at my old station WWGT in
Portland years ago (I don't think we actually worked there at the same time, but
then again I've been trying hard to purge the Turner Porter years from my memory
bank.)  She was rock-solid considering the general incompetence around her.  Now
all they need at Channel 8  is new management and ownership and she might make
inroads against the Gannett behemoth and force Sinclair to throw in the towel.
