You know what? This is what I like about him and it took a while for him to
grow on me (especially once he joined CNN). He may be awkward on air, but he
also comes across as an intelligent, somewhat-everyday guy. No, he's not
polished. But in this day and age of pretty boys and pretty women, he's a
guy who can actually get to the meat of the issue and ask a question that
makes me say, "I wish *I* could have asked/thought of that."

He does have a bit of an air (of arrogance? aloofness?) about him, though.
On one instance the other night, he was doing a handoff with Lou Dobbs. He
tried acknowledging Lou on air, and Lou didn't respond. "At least he tried."
He shrugged and sounded resigned. For what it's worth ...
