Chris Lydon sighting

When we last heard from the peripatetic Chris, he was em-ceeing a
dialogue that was part of the presentation of a play at Cambridge's
American Repertory Theater...a gig that almost certainly approached the
paycheck he was receiving for hosting "The Connection". He's b-a-a-a-ck,
and he's crossed the great divide between his former employer and WGBH-FM!
My 'GBH Members Program Guide just arrived, and on the page devoted to radio doings
appears this info:
"The Whole Wide World" with Christopher Lydon, a new 7-part series,
decodes the riddles of 21st-century globalization through the voices of
"artists, economists, refugees, historians and plain folk", Lydon tells
'GBH. The program weaves literary voices and a vibrant range of musical
textures into every hour, engaging listeners in critical topics of
discussion, "trends that threaten us and the technologies and cultural
connections(!) that could rescue us".

Moi again: this obviously compelling show will be broadcast at the
prime hour of 6:00 pm Sundays in April on WGBH-FM, 89.7...another
gig earning Chris BIG BUXX, as in days of yore.
