I was born in '62 and pretty much consider anything
pre-Beatles to be before my time. Though I did hear
50s/early 60s on the oldies stations, so I got
familiar with those tunes-- "Breaking Up is Hard to
Do", "At the Hop", "I'm Walkin'", "My Special
Angel", etc.

But at least some 50s tunes could still fit in;
at the very least, you gotta point to artists
like Jerry Lee Lewis, Fats Domino, Little Richard, and
Chuck Berry for their contributions to rock'n'roll. No
"Breathless", "Blueberry Hill",
"Lucille", or "No Particular Place to Go" on
WODS.

I believe they still do (Sunday mornings, along with a
syndicated show called "Beatle Brunch"). During the
week, the Elvis tunes are confined to a select few:
"Burnin' Love", "Suspicious Minds", etc. When "A
Little Less Conversation" became a hit because of
the remix, they played that for awhile--BUT it was the
original, not the remix. I heard one of the NH
oldies stations-- either WQLL or WQSO-- playing the
remix version of the song.
