North was found guilty of numerous felonies, but an appellate court overturned the conviction on a technicality, ruling that his testimony to Congress was used against him even though some idiot graned him immunity.
 
However, he ran the illegal Contra operation, he lied under oath, he ignored specific laws passed by Congress, and attempted to overthrow a legitimately elected goverment. He should be in jail but instead, he is a television star[and former radio star]. 

It should be noted that his cohort in crime, John Poindexter, another [felon, judgments that were thrown out too] has been hired by the Bush administration to head up the fascistic Total Information Awareness department to spy on Americans.
