Network plans
Has anyone heard what the TV networks plan when war begins? They will
obviously go to continous coverage but for how long?
CBS and NBC have been doing hour long newscasts this week and ABC stayed
with coverage all evening after the President's speech on Monday.
My impression is that the networks don't want to lose viewers to the cable
networks at this important time and will go overbaord with coverage. After
a few days, alternative programming will be needed. All war, all the time
is not the only thing the American people need to hear.
