John Mellencamp has a new protest song, called "To
Washington" (he has it on his website if you want to
hear it) and WKIT in Bangor played it once, during the
afternoon last week sometime. I doubt it will ever be
played again, but its good that it got played once...
At WKIT we have the advantage of not being owned by a
big corporation that calls the shots, and each DJ has 
some freedom to play different things.  About a month
ago on my overnight show I did a whole hour of "War
and Peace" songs, most of them protest songs.
