The only time I remember seeing an ad for on-air talent was back in the 
early 90s,The ad ran in the Boston Globe
 for a comedian/writer/voice talent at then WVBF (soon to be WCLB) on 
the Loren & Wally show.

The ad was to replace Christian Paul, and ran a couple of months after 
his death.
