WGUY goes back to oldies

I don't know when this happened, I don't beleive anyone has pointed it out
on the list, but one of my roomates (the one that doesn't work in the biz
no doubt) pointed out to me yesterday that WGUY 102.1 Dexter is playing
oldies again.

I beleive it was Christmas in 2001 that after playing an all christmas
format for a couple of months, they switched to smoothe jazz due to being
unsuccessful with their oldies format and having problems competing with
Magic 95.7 (Cumulus) which was successful with their oldies format.

OK now the question is this- what are they doing? They changed from one
format that didn't work to another that wasn't having good ratings, so now
they are going back to the old one? I think it is obvious that pretty much
no one listened because...well...no one pointed it out to the list did
they? ;-)
