NETV 1982 1993

Scanning thru more Globes from 10 years ago it was interesting seeing
the spin by David Mugar. He put himself in hock to buy out many of his
partners in 1986 and then Robert Kraft wanted out in 1992 (seems he
wanted to buy a football team) Sunbeam was the best of very low bids (
around 220M ) Mugar whined that it was impossible to compete against
Hearst and Westinghouse as they locked up all the good syndication.

Ed Siegal in the Globe was blunt, Mugar had no vision. He did think
Sunbeam would be a disaster if they brought WSVN to Boston. Little did
we know 7 would change the rules in this town.
