WCVB-DTV Channel 20

Today (02/16) at noon, I turned on the noon news on channel 5, WCVB in
Boston for the latest on the snowstorm heading our way
(which I'm sure will engender a thread on error-prone meteorologists
in its aftermath). At 11:59:30, there was a promo for Monday's
"Chronicle" show, with the addendum that it would be broadcast in
High Definition. Then came the WCBV-TV logo, the big '5' with
the circular arrow...but also something I noticed for the first time:
prominently displayed was a section of the screen with a big '20' in
a bubble and the call-letters WCVB-DT. WBZ-TV and WHDH-TV sometimes
show their DTV assignments in VERY small print, but this was the most
prominent DTV mention I've noticed so far. When the first WHDH-TV, on channel 5 and employing the tower on Chestnut Street, Newton came
on the air, they made a big deal about being all-color locally when
most TV was still black-and-white (or monochrome to be technical).
Is Hearst/Argyle Sox planning to be in the forefront of promoting
DTV capability long before 2006?
