The funny thing is that the engineer at Allen Weiner's
AM 710 WREM(Monticello, ME) atttempted to power a 500
Watt(I believe) backup Tx by strining those
construction extension cords across the field between
the trailer used for housing and the transmitter
shack.  This supposedly happened in the winter... 
They say that ya could tell where the cord was because
of the melted snow.
