It hasppened a few weeks ago and David did a little "farewell"
announcement the last night GE was on.  This type of thing 
is not unusual: ExxonValdezMobil is dropping its underwriting/sponsorship
of "Masterpiece Theater" on PBS; and if I remember correctly
AT&T was an original underwriter/sponsor of the former McNell-Lehrer Newshour.
Today's Globe has a feature in its auto section on a new Saab model.  It seems that Saab promos were all over channel 2, but 
I don't notice them much anymore.
