While heading south a few weeks ago I got to catch Letterman on
radio......bizzarre....sight gags don't work well on radio.
Well, someone at CBS must have agreed - because Monday night Letterman
announced that the "experiment" was over and done with. He commented, "this
show barely works on television, never mind radio", then had the director
fade to black while he kidded with the audience - saying, "for those of you
who missed the show on radio - this is what it was like". After 30 seconds
of audio only they went back from black to video and he said "thank God that
fiasco is over".

The next time Morley Safer does a story about modern art(?) on
"60 Minutes", I may listen to the simulcast on WBZ radio...it should
be v-e-r-y interesting. (They may have to add descriptive audio)
