I've been wondering about the "best and worst" of 2002, since I posted a
similar question last year.   The "awards" list cited above isn't very
good, though.  

The author thinks that firing shock jocks for their offensive stunts is
"cruddy", but he can't offer any more persuasive defense than "Come on:
do you think anyone took him seriously?"  His attempt to defend
vulgarity is pretty cruddy in itself.
