Sorry you feel that way, but I had been aware of the Yiddish verb "trennen" long before 
yesterday -- at least ten years ago, I heard a Yiddish dirty joke, the punch line of which was 
"De royte shiksa trent."  "Trent" is actually the third-person singular.

But since I don't use Yiddish that often, I didn't remember it until I was reminded of it 
yesterday.  It's not as common a word as "shtupn."
