Re: WILD Sign-offs??

Well, I was using the information from the WILD page on radio-locator.com.
for the wattage. I'm sure it's not necessarily accurate, but it's the only
resource I have to go by.

However, I listen in AM stereo in Somerville, and they are currently in
stereo up until 4:15 PM, when I hear the "blip" of the transmitter being
switched and then a mono signal (a bit weaker, with increased background
noise) until 4:45 PM when it suddenly goes completely off the air.

It sounds the same to me all day up until 4:15 PM, and this is also in the
car in the suburbs farther west, such as out in Newton, out where you hear
a sharp drop at 4:15 (and perhaps WBAL in the background) until they go off
at 4:45.

Perhaps they're doing more illegally than not doing proper signoffs???
