Re: Christmas Music in Central Maine

Yes, both WEZQ 92.9 and "Kiss-94.5" WKSQ are both Christmas music
formats. Kiss is calling themselves "Continuous Christmas Favorites",
even during the Mike and Mike morning show they are Christmas tunes. Ten
minutes was enough for me.
Upcoming format changes? Who knows? What's left? Even Adult Standards
are on Both WDEA-1370 and WABI-910 have that. Another Oldies station? Up
until last Dec. there were two oldies in Bangor/Down-East market WWMJ
95.7, and thenOldies WGUY 102.1, which is now "Smooth Jazz" Maybe a
strict 70s/80s format could fit in. We even have big bands/swing WBYA
105.5 Islesboro/Camden, although their signal is not good in Bangor with
WHMX105.7 adjacent. There'a already all-sports WZON-620, and all-news
WNZS-1340 with CNN Headline News audio.
Aside from urban or alternative, which the college stations probably
cover, the only other passible format would be an easy-lstening station
like Bob Bittner's WJIB/WJTO.

And remember, there are still 2 unbuilt AM Constuction permits in the
Bangor area for 1340 and 1400. And there's still a CP for 93.7 Milbridge
which has been active since 1996.

Staying tuned
