Pats vs. Raiders - sports TV broadcasting history... 'Heidi Bowl'

I find it ironic that yesterday's (11/17/02) NFL Sunday night game was the
Patriots vs. Raiders.
For November 17, 2002 is the 34th anniversary (to the very day, no less) of
the infamous Heidi Bowl. That game featured the Raiders also.

I was actually watching that game nearly 3 and a half decades ago, when NBC
cut away.

Due to the outcry the next day Huntley and Brinkley had to broadcast the
final minute of the game
on their newscast the next day.
