Live Shots

Is anyone else tired of live shots on the local news
hours after the news event has concluded?  I know this
happens everyday but right now WGME is doing a live
shot from a dark high school football field talking
about the game -- which ended more than two hours ago.
 It looks really silly when they cut from the reporter
to shots of the game which were obviously hours old
because the sun was still up!  What's the point of
such coverage?
