Good reference work for broadcasting around the world.
9.) The 1 year subscription to Monitoring Times $27 (2nd class mail).
Good magazine covering short-wave, scanning, AM/FM broadcasting,
amateur radio & related equipment reviews.
8.) The Itensitronics Select-A-Tenna $60.00 to $190.00
The famous inductively coupled AM antenna booster.
now comes in 3 models.
7.) The GE (Thomson)Superadio III $60.
The AM DXer's favorite [has major QC issues, however].
6.) The Radio Shack Pro-95 Trunking Scanner $250.
1000 channel memory locations. Tracks Motorola
and EDCAS trunked radio systems. (On sale until
11/24 for $150 at Rat Shack).
5.) The Sangean AT-909 (Radio Shack DX-398) portable short-wave receiver
$240.
Good portable for the money.
4.) The Automotive XM or Sirius satellite radio tuner $300 and up.
Listen to the new satellite radio services (monthly subscription
$10 for XM $13 for Sirius).
3.) The JRC NRD-545 table-top short-wave receiver $1,800.
Arguably the best table top out there.
2.) The TEN-TEC RX 340 short-wave receiver $4,000
