Rocco's apparent firing from WAAF

It seems WAAF (worcester, BOSTON) apparently gave
Rocco his walking papers yesterday (Monday
16-Sept-02).  Enterercom didn't take long to post the
job for "the next great afternoon drive host" on their
corporate web site (www.entercom.com).  Apparently
Entercom didn't think the last one was all that great
(or the ones before for that matter).

Is this a lack-of-ratings firing or had Rocco lost his
touch since Birdsie flew the coop to FNX a while back.
 Maybe it's just the sign of the new PD who just came
on in July.

It was strange to hear longtime morning guy actually
mention the apparent firing on-air (but walking the
corporate line by not saying too much).  I think he
referred to WAAF-Lite (does he mean FNX?) has having
mentioned on air that Rocco's ratings were less than
stellar.  How have WAAF afternoons been doing lately?
