Re: Hutch

I don't know what I'm talking about??? Let's see Don -
It's to bad your ego get's the best of you when it
comes to college students getting a break locally.
Frankly, there's a good talent pool going to waste
because of arrogant thinking like yours. I'm inclined
to believe there is well-qualified talent at these
schools and some far *better* than I've heard on
commercial Boston radio. 10 or 15 years on the air
doesn't necessarily make you a better personality.
There's too many jocks out there (especially these
days) that are just going through the motions and we
both know that. So much good talent has left the
industry either because they can't make a living on
peanuts or because a bunch of out-of-town suits who
haven't any clue what they are doing - only that they
own X-number of stations and the bottem line is being
reached. Radio people don't run radio anymore.

As for Hutch, he is a GREAT air talent who I have
admired listening to for several years now. My initial
post was to *his* defense! I'm also delighted Hutch is
on two stations and more so - that he does gets a pee
break during a 6-unit Audio Vault break and can say hi
jocks in the other studios.
