Clear Channel to tear up Landsdowne St?

It's not quite radio-related, but a Boston Herald article details plans to 
raze all the Landsdowne st. clubs (next to Fenway Park) and replace them 
with a 3500-seat concert hall, a 20-story residential tower, and a few 
smaller clubs like Avalon, the majority of it all being above the 
Pike.   It's possible the owners of the Sox will join in as all of 
Landsdowne St. moving over the Pike would allow them to expand Fenway Park 
in that direction.

Clear Channel would run the entire show.  It appears that the political 
wheels have greased, too...so this could very well be a reality.

I'm sure the bars/venues in Allston would LOVE this...esp. The Wonder Bar 
and The Kells which attract similar crowds.   Of course, if you thought the 
drunken-overly-rich student problem in Allston is bad now, imagine when the 
entire Lansdowne St crowd starts migrating over there instead.  Eek!
