Even my <ack> Compaq laptop corrects time with NistTime server a
couple of times a day (can be set to any interval). Well, 12:41,
no, it's 12:38, no wait....

Reminds me of a pet peeve - NOT as bad as snow being "the white
stuff" but close - analog time and then the digital conversion.
Pull-eze. "Twelve forty one, that's twenty one minutes before one
o'clock (for you freakin' idiot bozos who need friends to remind you
to zip your fly, or perhaps you need a radio station for THAT
too.....)" "It may rain today, so you may need _that umbrella_"
(Firing squad ready.) If you're talking rain protection, be a grown
up and push RUBBERS and see how your numbers jazz.

"If you have a circular driveway, chances are you don't have to back
out into the street." (Why not?) "<Jock Name> along for the
ride/on your ride home/ridin' with YA/keepin' you company/annoying
the bleepin' snot out of you/stealing valuable oxygen and a two-bit
paycheck." <Mother mother make it stop..<pea soup projectile sfx>
And my all time fave, "Hope you're having a nice day." <gas pipe
sfx> "DRIV-ing FIF-tee THOU-sand watts of POW-wer...." <locked ward
sfx faded>
