I've always found it curious that we're not allowed to swear on the air in English, but in other languages that most people don't understand, it's OK.

(For the uninitiated, "schtupp" is the Yiddish word for a four-letter word for sexual intercourse beginning with the letter "f"...a word that, if I had used it around my mother, would have earned me a swat on the tuchus...er, fanny.)
