Twice, in one month, WCLZ's tower was hit by
lightening.  At that time, the studios were located
right under the tower in Brunswick, Maine.  The first
strike did some damage to the transmitter.  The second
strike did transmitter damage and burnt out parts of
the studio board.  After the second strike, steps were
taken to improve the grounding of the tower.
