Smooth Jazz 102.1 WGUY off air

Sorry to report that one of my favorite Bangor-area stations Smooth Jazz
102.1 WGUR Dexter/Bangor" has been off the air since last (Wed) night.

An intense thunderstorm passed thru the area between 8-10PM last night
and I noticed that WGUY was constantly cutting off every few seconds.
Presumably from lightning and/or satellite receiever demod problems.

All of Mount Desett Island and Ellsworth area lost power between
9-10:30PM, and ever since WGUY has been off the air, right thru 7:30PM
this evening.

Hope they get back on soon, but this was a Naaaaasty thunderstormn,
especially for down-east Maine. with near-continuous lightning and lots
of wind damage and power outages in Bangor/Old Town/Dexter/Newport area,
as well as Ellsworth and Washington County (waaaaaay down-east)

Also off was WDEA-1370 during height of storm. But the lightning static
was so bad on AM to be unlistenable anyway. They got back on this
morning.

Hope WGUY gets back on soon...A most welcome station to Down-east Maine!
