Actually I wasn't talking about their sound in the late 80's. You're
right the "Honey B" was terrible. I bought the laundromat in late 98 and
started listening to them in the mat in early 99, at that point they
were gathering steam, more than a dozen people asked me what station I
had on, then when Jack Baldwin left (in addition to being PD he also did
the music) and Telemedia took over it became as homogenized as just about
everything else. The only reason I haven't swapped to WBOS is that it
won't come in on my system here (very cheap)
