WCCM Changing Format

   WCCM (800 Lawrence MA) is apparently changing format as of May 6. Music
Of Your Life is being dumped to make way for talk. Bruce Arnold will still
be handling mornings, along with hosting a cooking talk show Mondays,
Wednesdays, and Fridays at 10 AM. The long running "Hotline" show will air
from 12 Noon-2 PM followed by another local talk show, "Paying Attention"
hosted by Tom Duggan from 2 to 4 PM. Then from 4 PM on and most of the time
weekends they will picking up ESPN Radio sports talk.

    WCCM will once again air Lowell Spinners Baseball and will also being
airing Mass Mutiny women's football games. They are the Merrimack Valley's
entry in the National Women's Football League, playing their home games at U
Mass Lowell Cushing Field. Bob Ellis will be handling play by play.

    I bet there will be some folks fussing about the loss of the Music of
Your Life format. One can only dream that WCAP (980 Lowell)  would dump most
or all of it's talk to pick up MOYL off the bird or better yet, do a home
grown version.
