Okay, I made that last one up entirely but I had you for a second there, 
eh?  :-)

But seriously, repeating something often enough will make it "true" in the 
mind's eye....that's SOP in psychological warfare, and in 
advertising/marketing for that matter.   How many old-timers have told an 
embellished story to the grandkids so many times they've forgotten how it 
really went?
