Sorry, it's a force of habit. I remember as recent as 1997 (year I
graduated Kol-Ledge) that WNYU Radio was getting promo records from the
labels on both vinyl and CD. Sometimes I'd get lucky and get some
duplicates.
Vinyl is still pressed, as are 45s. Sure they're a bit harder to find and
now a staple of independent record stores (and the large-size Virgin and
Tower records), but trust me....the basic black analogue disk is not going
away entirely any time soon.... :-)
