Re: Pearl in Boston Metro

This veers off topic a bit, but was anyone as disturbed as I by today's
headline in the Boston Metro?  (I realize that the Boston Metro is not the
paragon of journalistic excellence, but I expect more than this.)

I don't have a weak stomach, nor am I easily offended, but I thought the
Pearl headline was well beyond what was necessary to tell the story.  I
understand that those details clearly illustrate the kidnappers'
barbarism, but can't they weigh that against sensitivity toward the guy's
family/friends and frankly, all of the readers?  Thoughts?
