RE: WKSS Hartford-Meriden???



The legal ID was correct.  WKSS is licensed to "Hartford-Meriden."  Just
like WCAT "Orange-Athol" or WZRA "Wakefield-Peacedale."  Those are 3
examples of dual cities of license.  People often confuse these with
stations with those that add other cities after their city of license.

Today I was out in Norwich CT competing at a judo
tournament, and on the way back home from there was
listening to Kiss 95.7.  Happened to catch a "legal??"
id of "WKSS Hartford-Meriden."  I thought WKSS was
actually licensed to Meriden and that THAT should be
mentioned immediately following the call letters and
NOT Hartford...
