Summerall actually announced a year and a half ago this would be his last
year at FOX, concluding with the Super Bowl, then changed his mind. Finally,
he came to his senses and realized he shouldn't be on the No. 1 team
anymore. As far as I know Buck has not been announced as the new NFL on FOX
guy -- he may not want to give up the baseball gig.

I'd agree with you there, though I never saw the interview in question.
